Hey people,

Check out Servage.net for podcast hosting and web-hosting. They're a great service that provide both a lot of bandwidth and a lot of space. I use them and they're fantastic!

Yo, ho, ho...and I mean ho. Yes, I've come to this...talking about sex on my broadcast.

When I first started my broadcast, I wanted to avoid talking about the cliche things - sex, politics and entertainment being the prime suspects coming to mind. Well, as is only natural, my life does, indeed, involve sex. As I'm putting my life out there on a broken platter, so, too, does a heaping-helping of sex come along with that.

Anxiety driving this gay man to topping, overuse of poppers and fucking three times in one night are just some of things popping out of this mouth.

Damn it's been a long time since I last posted!

I'm up almost 20 podcasts since last time...Check them all out!

I've taken some much needed advice and have trimmed down the broadcasts so that there's less rambling and more conveyance of solid thought.

Something's wrong with the XML associations

My friend from Dime-Bag Radio just informed me that both the Dime-Bag Radio listing and my listing are fucked up. I've got postings from the Queer Visions podcast listed under me and Dime-Bag Radio has got Tranny-Train Wreck podcast listings under it. Not that I have anything against either podcast, but I want to make sure that people are able to access the correct shows and the correct voices.

Cycle-Cast number bazzillion and Casey Stratton

It's October, but that's hardly slowed this cyclist down! Yes, I'm riding and I'm recording and you can find it on this 30th! broadcast. You can also catch my other Cycle-Casts on my site or through iTunes .

Apathy

What is the result of apathy?

I was searching through the internet, attempting to find a visual description of apathy that represented my idea of disinterest. Initially I thought of a pictorial description of blank space, a void, or something that more-or-less described "nothingness".

I thought back on the lack of interest that a lack of interest sparks emotionally.

Apathy requires a polar opposite pull to mean anything in order to evoke strong emotion. A better visual description of apathy, then, is one that evokes a highly energetic (and energy, here, can mean anything - positive or negative) response.

iTunes and keywords

Greetings everyone!

My friend Chris and I were having trouble finding our own podcast, Dime-Bag Radio, using iTunes keywords that we had entered into our XML file. What the hell was going on?

As many out there already know, iTunes actually searches and indexes podcast summary fields, rather than the keywords field (what kind of logic is that?). What that means is that if podcasters include keywords inside their <itunes:summary> tags, their podcast can be searched within iTunes using the keywords that one specifies.

Still alive and cycling!

Hey all. Just letting everyone know that I'm up to my 16th audio broadcast and still keeping my perspective from Chicago alive and well. I think that the last blog entry I put up on here dealt with Katrina and from that point on I was swamped with projects. I've been keeping busy with my other broadcast, Dime-Bag Radio, as well as attempting to keep my broadcast fresh with new Album Art, personal, fresh content and customized blog entries.

iTunes update

My speculation about how the iTunes submission system was apparently correct (see my previous blog entry). So I say to everyone...I am now in iTunes!

Who cares?! You should! Why?

In my previous blog post I detailed how I thought iTunes was recognizing podcast submissions. At that point in time (approximately two days ago) I had just resubmitted myself to iTunes and was waiting to see what happened. Well, look what happened! After two days I'm in...so my analysis of the iTunes submission process was correct. iTunes scans <itunes> tags, so if you're getting this message:

Having iTunes submission issues?

Has anyone been receiving this message when attempting to submit a Podcast to iTunes?

"It appears the feed has already been submitted"

I was experiencing this problem and it was annoying and aggravating the hell out of me. Even after attempting to rename my XML file, twice, iTunes was continually rejecting my feed.

Then I put my thinking cap on. If iTunes is rejecting my XML file, despite the fact that the file has a different name, then perhaps the cause of the rejection lies INSIDE the file rather than on its OUTSIDE name.
