In a fit of spontaneous activism, I organized a protest in Tulsa, OK, on the night of the President's address to the nation. After sending emails to friends and family, posting bulletins on MySpace and on justinfeed.com, word spread. We were joined by a diverse crowd of people, all united for peace.

On Monday the Senate will likely take up the Federal Marriage Amendment. The President, seeking to distract voters from the massacres in Iraq and the corruption in Washington, will endorse the Amendment and ask for its passage. Although it is unlikely to pass, it is very important that our Senators understand the Amendment is NOT supported by their constituents.

In my last vlog entry, I phoned my Senators and let them know how I wanted them to vote. It was easy and it took less than 3 minutes of my time (watch the vlog and see for yourself).

Now, the HRC is organizing a Weekend Voice Mail Flood. You can call 202-224-3121 and ask to leave a message on your Senators' voice mail. HRC wants our representatives in Washington to come to work on Monday with their mailboxes full to send a message that we will not tolerate discrimination. Take 3 minutes. Call your Senators. It can't get any easier than this.

Hello Qpodder! My name is Justin. I'm a 29 year old living in Tulsa, Oklahoma. I've started a vlog to look at life as a partnered gay man deep in the heart of the Bible Belt.

I was inspired by Brad, the Willing Warrior, to get off my gay ass and put my voice out there. I'm still learning, and I'm trying to improve as I go. But I'm speaking, and I'm trying to make a difference.

In the past few weeks I have told the story of my first kiss and the life-long friend that it brought me. I have shown just how extreme the religious right can be by hijacking my state's legislature and trying to restrict access to library books with gay themes. I spoke about why God Hates Fags has changed to God Loves IEDs and why hatred towards those of us that are different is not the as equal as hatred towards those that are the same.

The Religious Right is attempting to make us even more separate and unequal. Each of us has to take a stand. And this is mine.
