Is a great mixer for a bit more than a hundred bucks. Try Guitar Center for a source... I swear by mine since July!

Can you supply the links to Mixcraft and Propaganda?

-------

I actually found the links/sites. The only problem I have with the majority of software for podcasting is the inability to record "live". I guess I am safing my money for Abelton 5. I even looked at Castblaster and from reading the forums al lot of the software out there is designed to work with an analog mic, and not a USB mic or external mixer. Is there something to use besides Audacity, that does not cost $400?

Audio Hijack Pro is $32, and allows you to pull in all the audio on your computer live -- mixing back & forth is a little wonky with a mouse, unfortunately, but way more flexible than Audcacity+SoundFlower+Soundbed.

I bought one for myself also and I love it ... if I could just figure out how to use it. I've never done any mixing in my life, so ... I haven't been using it.

So ... Zilla and Dag ... do you use the PC or the Mac with it? What software do you use with it?

I was using it with my Windows machine in my computer room, but the mic just picked up the ambient noise of the other computers in the room. I went to another quieter room with my laptop and for some reason I can't get the recording level on the PC any higher.

So, any tips for a rank amateur and mixing?

Thanks Guys ... Happy QueerCasting!

Although I am a BIG TIME mac addict this seems to work best on the PC..just being lazy to figure it out on the Mac.
I am a total amature Dag is the pro on this mixing stuff.
A good mic matters even more.
