Ragan,

Resovling to the same infighting podcaster bullshit is getting old. While your audience may not notice it, the qpodders do. I fan the flames to stir controversy, you are 100% correct.

You have to be concience of your place as a founder of Qpodder. While I give you artistic freedom to say Cucumber over and over and over and over and over and over again, the majority of podcasters that look up to you all and talk to the FOF cast as well as ETHS, are just getting a bad taste in thier mouths.

Again this is just me bitching, and I am not speaking for anyone. I just can't stand to see the fight go on any longer.....

Just so we're clear, i didn't say anything about AJ in the last episode of ETHS; Wanda didn't say anything about AJ in the last episode of ETHS. I can't speak for Madge, but I think it would be a mistake to assume that she was trying to hurt AJ's feelings. She routinely jokes about people's appearances as a means to promote their shows. In the last two weeks, Madge has made a habit out of calling "Pizza Blubber Cunt" fat and disgusting. We laugh at the joke, because most of us know that Pizza Babe is a woman that Madge admires. Moreover, the joke generates buzz about her show, just as the AJ/Fester quip plugs Higher Things Radio. From day one of ETHS, we've made jokes about Wanda's appearance. In fact, I spent an entire month of FatC promoting Lucky Bitch Radio via acerbic humor.

Now, whether or not Madge's joke hurt AJ's feelings is an entirely different story. His reaction to the joke is valid, regardless of artistic intent. If feelings were hurt, I apologize. I can't apologize on behalf of the entire show, because I can't speak for Wanda and Madge. While I didn't deliver the joke, I most certainly laughed at it, and I apologize for whatever role I played in hurting the feelings of another qpodder.

Finally, and this is directed to Marshall, it's kinda' hollow to claim that ETHS is hurting for content. It's a popular show because it's bold in its content choice. We aren't hurtin' for things to talk about, believe me. In the past few months, we've consistently talked about thought-provoking social issues, including meth. addiction, queer citizenship, representation politics, etc. One need only look at the comment board at eatthishotshow.com to recognize the import of our discussions. The conversations stimulate people to think and talk about complex social issues.

There are ways to resolve breakdowns in communication that don't involve fanning the flames (so to speak), Marshall, and you do a lot of flame fanning on the qpodder forums. Like I said two weeks ago, it's better to assume the best out of people. Madge's joke about AJ is embedded in a milieu of numerous jokes about people's appearances. It's part of her schtick (see jokes about Dawn from Dawn and Drew, Pizza Babe, Wanda, John Ong, Rachel Kann, Girl on Tech, etc.). While I completely respect that the joke may, sometimes, hurt its target, I don't like the "let's jump on the 'Fuck ETHS!'" bandwagon. It's so 2005 to demonize ETHS and its players.

So...i can say..that after yesterdays ETHS...i was a little taken back by the Fester thing. However, I do understand Madge and do know that she does this with EVERYONE...it's very funny when it's someone else...but not so funny when it's you. But....I do want to make it clear that my show "Pillow Talk w/AJ - Eat This FESTERing Hot Snatch" was not in anyway...meant as a comeback or an "I'll get these bitches" kinda thing. I would have to say that after podcasting since August 05 and doing now 70 Episodes of HTR, 28 Queerspresso's, 9 Pillowtalks.2 Mentstrual Mondays, creating a whole family of gay podcasters who take care of each other and work as a team Rainbow Podsquad Network ..and working my ass off in general since early August.....that putting this last episode of Pillow Talk together was the most fun I have had with a show...in a very long time! Because, I like Ragan..belive that you have to bring something to the table for your show to be successfull! And somedays..after burning myself out doing or being on 1-2-3 or maybe more shows a day...I would rather stick my head in the oven ..then to post another show!
So if nothing else...i wanna thank the girls for putting a little spice into my day....like i said in the show..."thanks for the content ladies" and i meant that...I had so much fun searching for wav's...mp3's and other random audio ...and I really feel that this was one of my better shows....Not only that ...but I also...talked about what was on my mind and in my heart...at the moment..and nothing beats true feels...not ratings...not anything...being true to yourself and expressing your thoughts and feelings is #1 in my book and always will be.
While I was hurt at first ... i thought that i would think about it and discuss it on the higher road...through talking about "Feelings, My Wrongs & The Apperance Factor in the Gay Community!
I also...took my turn to poke a little fun...and just turn the situation into something I could have fun with ...it was hard work..(do you know how little fabulous pics of fester are actually on the Google Images?)
So....on a blog..I may not express myself as well as Ragan can (which by the way..thank you for your comments Ragan) I will say that I really have a true love for what I'm doing with the whole podcasting thing...and I have found lots of very nice people in the qPodder Community since joining a few weeks after it was created. And I cant wait to see what comes next for podcasting, myself and my piers. (did i spell that right?)
And Madge, the one thing that i do know about you "Schtick or no Schtick" is that you also have a great love for what you are doing and that you do this kinda thing with everyone....i had to remind myself of that...and get over...so doing a show (as you well know...is a great way to do that). Your still my favorite Lesbian in the world...now send me that vaginal juice already!
Wanda....I love you more than my Prada Shoes.. ...and I did take note that you did not make the comments..even if you laughed along with it ...being true to myself ...i would have done the same thing!
Ragan...i also noted that you didnt make the comment ...but again...did laugh..and again ..thats fine ...i more than likely would have done the same thing. While i dont always agree with you....you are always fair and honest (not to be confused with the Fox News Channel) sometimes what you say...hurts and stinks...You always have a very good way of saying whats on your mind...and pointing out the truth...so i do respect you for that...and I think for you to take the time to comment...on this silly thing and be clear about what was said ...and how you feel...is also to be respected!
I will close this long ass post out by saying....I love ETHS...always have ...however...i do think the Fausto and Marc refrences are getting a little old..(almost as old as me pimping out Ms. Hipps and her candles 5 times on every show...but i love her...so thats why i do that) however.it's kinda the same thing like some wise lesbian said to me about rubbing salt in wounds with posting my "brought to you by Soy Candles by Phebes" picture with everyshow...its really no different...HOWEVER...we all have the RIGHT to say and do anything we want on our shows...and if thats ever fully taken away...what good are we ????
