Queer Podcast Community

Hi,

I need some help. First off, I created a video cast and saved it is an Mp4. I uploaded it, created my blog entry which Feedburner changes to my RSS feed. My problem is that, the video doesn't come over to iTunes and when I click the video link on my blog, I get code instead of a movie. This is new to me and I'd like to be able add video to my podcast. Should I save it as a MOV file? How can I compress it to about 10MB? It's only about 4 minutes long.

Thanks,

Ken

Our Media is a great place to host files for free if you have trouble with your host.
I use them as a back up and it is all FREE!

Looks like you somewhat resolved the issue. I was able to get your video in .mov format through your feedburner feed and itunes with no problems.

I converted it to .m4v (ipod video) format for you in quicktime pro and posted it here on internet archive. The file is now about 15MB. You should be able to just change your post to point to there and your feed will be updated with the new file.

Hope this helps,

Kiko,

You're a sweetheart! Thanks for converting my file.

It is strange, it took maybe six hours before the feed recognized the video. I'll see what happens next time.

Do you know much about video compression? I have Quicktime PRO and would like to know which parameters to choose so I can compress the video so that it has the best quality and small file size. I am shooting for 10-12 MB for 4 - 6 minutes of video.

Let me know.

Thanks again,

Ken

I can't help you much Kentie, as I've never posted a video that I have produced. The only video I've posted was made by someone else, and I'm sure it was in MOV format. That being said, your request for help was posted 10 times in a row! Or maybe it's just my medication....

I see what you mean. When I originally posted, there was a problem. The qpodder page had been done froze. So I came back later to post, which I did. Yesterday, I only saw two posts, but today there are, as you've noted, about 10 posts.

Take care,

Ken
