Our guest for our last twenty minutes this week is Tony Award-winning composer, lyricist and playwright William Finn, currently represented by the off-Broadway review "Make Me a Song: The Music of William Finn" at New World Stages and by the Broadway hit "The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee," now in its third year at the Circle in the Square. While unaffected by the stagehands strike, "Spelling Bee" will be vacating for another show after January 20, 2008.

Mr. Finn will talk about his life and work, including his groundbreaking gay- and AIDS-themed trilogy from the 1980s that played on Broadway as "Falsettos" in 1992 and '93, as well as works not yet produced but represented in the "Make Me a Song" revue. And we will treat you to an excerpt from the revue, "Unlikely Lovers," featuring Sandy Binion, D.B. Bonds, Adam Heller and Sally Wilfert singing that moving and bittersweet gay love song.
