There’s no place to start like the beginning, so here we go! I was born September 4th, 1976, in a small town in northern Ohio. One year to the day of this momentous event my family moved to Springfield, Ohio. This is where I spent the first part of my formative years.
Before entering elementary school my parents choose to send me to pre-school. Now as many of you might remember, pre-school involved many field trips. My pre-school had the habit of asking mothers to chaperon these trips, and eventually it was my mothers turn.
I remember the day very clearly, a beautiful morning sometime in early spring. We all boarded the bus and traveled to the nearby town of Yellow Springs, to learn everything a pre-scholar must know about dairy farms. We arrived and soon the nicest of ladies started to guide us on our way.
She started by asking all the children if they knew where milk came from? I looked around at the blank faces of all my classmates – I knew the answer. I jumped for joy and raised my hand, hoping to make my mother proud.
